If you could build the perfect Real Estate Agent, what type of personality would you choose? Hmmm.
In almost 18 years practicing, I’ve always believed that a Client/Agent relationship is so important. The two must be on the same page before, during, and after the transaction. Having the ability to comprehend and listen are important qualities any Agent should have, I think.
What if unexpected issues arise and panic sets in during the transaction? It happens and most times, it is unexpected.
The Agent should have the expertise and patience to grab the rope and handle the problem. So, choosing the perfect Agent is crucial.
As much as I prefer an interview to go no further than me or, our KHP Agents, I think it’s important to interview at least two unrelated Brokerages to know which Agent proves professional, knowledgeable, reputable, and easy to talk to. Remember, you may not know for sure until the process starts. But, red flags to watch for are; the Agent talks about how successful they are in lieu of focusing on you, no communication, lack of attention to detail or listening. They are unreliable, unreachable.
